Be sure to show the cashier your Redner’s Rewards Card when you shop at Redners to make the register tapes count for CAN. If you don’t have a Redner’s Rewards Card, ask for one at the customer service counter.

We receive 1% of the total receipt you collect. Remember to give your “gas card/save a tape card” to the cashier when you check out to make your tape eligible. Please do not cut off the bottom of the register tape, Redner’s requires that we redeem the entire register receipt.

Ask your friends, co-workers, relatives and any one else you can think of to save these tapes for Cat Angel Network. Why not make it a family project? Or, if you belong to any other organizations they could make it a service project. You can mail your tapes to:

Cat Angel Network
PO Box 3071
Stowe, PA 19464

Or, you can drop them off at the Adoption Center in the PetSmart store in Downingtown or Pottstown on weekends when the adoption center is staffed with our volunteers.

Volunteer

We are accepting applications for Caregivers, Cat Socializers, Fostering, Adoption Helpers, and assistance in many other categories. We also are always interested in discussing administrative and clerical functions which is a wonderful way to provide assistance for folks who cannot help with hands-on cat care but would like to participate or be involved in other ways. We’re always in need of help with these activities both of our PetSmart locations (Downingtown and Pottstown), and at our shelter (located near Pottstown, PA).

If you are interested in joining the Cat Angel Network Volunteer Family you can complete a Volunteer Application at one of our PetSmart locations, or online here on our website. We are looking forward to having you join forces with us to help find homes for the many kitties who are looking for their forever families!

Smile, Knowing Your Purchases with Amazon can Help Rescue Cats

We are pleased to announce a new and easy way that you and everyone you know can help Cat Angel Network when you buy products from Amazon. Just follows these simple steps:

  1. Visit smile.amazon.comamazon_smile
  2. On the home page, find the area where you can select your charity and choose Cat Angel Network.
  3. Buy your products as you normally would. If you already have an Amazon account, you won’t need to set up anything new for this to work.
  4. Ask your friends and family to do the same.

Cat Angel Network receives 1/2 of 1 percent of all purchases from everyone who selects Cat Angel Network as their charity. While this may seem like a small amount, the potential for income is excellent if a large group of people sign up.

It’s a very easy way to help Cat Angel Network with hardly any effort. Thank you for all you do and for helping us spread the word about this new opportunity!

Cat Angel Network Partners with Ambit Energy

Did you know you can help save cats just by turning on your lights? Our latest fundraiser gives you the opportunity to both lower your electric bill and help Cat Angel with our rescue efforts! If you sign up with Ambit Energy (www.catangel.joinambit.com), Cat Angel Network will receive between $2.00 and $9.00 per month, depending on your energy use. In addition, you will save money over Peco and PPL, unless you are currently receiving a discounted heating rate (rate RH). In addition, you earn points that can be redeemed for travel, groceries, and other perks. Also, Ambit offers a hotel voucher good at 25 resorts nationwide just for trying their product. Please read the FAQs below to help you determine if Ambit is right for you.

As the only electric provider to offer a partnership program for nonprofit organizations, Ambit Energy is helping America’s nonprofit organizations succeed! If you would like more information before switching, please contact Henry at catangelpa@aol.com.

FAQs

Q: How involved is switching to Ambit?

A: It takes about 2 minutes on line. You just need your current electric bill. You also then will either need to call them to verify your decision through an automated system, or wait for them to call you.

Q: How will my electric bill change?
A: Ambit provides the energy generation portion of your bill. In most cases, you will still get only one monthly bill from your current provider, who will continue to supply the electricity to your home and service your electric needs.

Q: I currently have an all-electric home and am with PECO. Will I save money with Ambit?
A: Definitely not this winter. As long as rate RH is in effect, PECO will remain less expensive than all competitors for all-electric homes with rate RH. However, the rate RH discount was cut in half on January 1, 2012 and will completely disappear by the end of 2012. When rate RH is completely gone, you should consider your options.

Q: I would like to compare rates between electric companies before switching. How do I do this?
A: The best resource for Pennsylvania residents is www.papowerswitch.com, a site maintained by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

Q: Are there other perks involved with joining Ambit Energy?
A: Yes, if you refer friends and family to Ambit, you become eligible for more great rewards! Refer 5 friends, and you qualify for a free vacation! Details at www.ambittravel.com. Additionally, by referring a total of 15 clients to Ambit in the first 6 months, you qualify for a free energy credit for LIFE! Details at www.catangel.joinambit.com.

Q: I’m worried about switching. Is there any risk?
A: You have nothing to fear! Ambit currently has no cancellation fees for any contract you sign up for. If you don’t like it and want to switch back to your previous provider, you can do so at any time without any penalty!

Donate Your Car

Through www.donationline.com, you can donate your car to Cat Angel Network with a few easy steps. Simply go to the website, or call 1-877-227-7487 to find out if your car is eligible for donation. Most cars are eligible even if they are not running. Generally, DonationLine will accept cars that they can sell at a wholesale auction for more than the cost of towing and processing.

The process is easy and painless, and most of our car donors have reported that their vehicle was picked up within a few days! In addition, since DonationLine is a national company, your friends and family members outside of this area are eligible to donate cars to Cat Angel Network as well. Since we began this program last year, we have had a steady stream of car donations from across the country.

Car donation is an outstanding way to help Cat Angel Network and remove the stress of dealing with selling a car that you are no longer using.
