About Us

Cat Angel Network, founded in 1996, is an all volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill cat rescue organization in Stowe, PA, dedicated to improving the grave situation of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens in our community. We work to control the enormous overpopulation of cats by:

  • Advocating the spaying and neutering of all cats and kittens, including those in our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program
  • Educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering
  • Finding loving, responsible homes for unwanted cats and kittens
  • Counseling cat owners about situations that would otherwise result in the surrender of their cats

Cat Angel Network maintains a private shelter in northern Chester County, PA, foster homes, and adoption centers at Exton (Downingtown) and Pottstown PETsMARTs.

We have only 2 sources of income: adoption fees and donations.

  1. Adoption Fees – our $95 adoption fee helps to defray the costs associated with caring for each cat prior to adoption. Before being made available for adoption, our cats are all vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and tested for FIV and FeLV. Some cats may require additional veterinary care, medications, and/or expensive surgeries.
  2. Donations – we rely heavily on donations to fund the difference between the expenses we incur in caring for the cats and the income we receive from Adoption Fees. We are very grateful to all of our donors – they make it all possible!

Since our organization is staffed entirely by non-paid volunteers, the money we receive from donors goes directly to caring for cats and funding our TNR program. Please consider making a donation to Cat Angel Network – to see how, visit our Donations page or the How To Help page.

Mission Statement

  • To prevent the suffering of abandoned cats through rescue, spay/neuter, medical care, shelter, and adoption to approved homes.
  • To educate the public about the proper care of cats, the importance of spaying and neutering, and the benefits of adopting shelter cats.
  • To operate as a no-kill, all-volunteer, non-profit organization.

Our Shelter

The Cat Angel Network Shelter is located on private property in northern Chester County, PA. Our eight room facility houses a variety of cats who are awaiting special homes, including nursing kittens and their mothers, cat with certain medical problems, new arrivals, and cats who are not able or ready to handle the stress of adoption through one our our PETsMART Adoption Centers. We also have many more lovable kitties living in our large network of dedicated foster homes.

We completed an addition to our shelter in late summer 2001, adding about 50% more space to our facility. The addition cost more than $30,000, and was funded by many generous donations from our fellow cat lovers. This addition includes a small in-house treatment center, a quarantine area, an additional kitten room, and a powder room.

As a no-kill facility, we do everything possible for each cat in our care. We help them become the most adoptable animal they can be, and then we pray for a loving family to come along. Cat Angel Network wishes to thank all of you who have been so very generous in helping us with this project. Your support is appreciated beyond words, and we would not be able to continue our work without your help. Thank you so much.
