Featured Kitty: Baby BJ

Baby Romano Barbarish b 12-9-11

BABY, a very handsome black and white male kitty, was born in April 2010, and here is his story. Hi, my name is “Baby” and I am looking for my new home. Like too many other kitties, I have sad story. This past summer, a nice lady was walking around a community garden when she heard a cat meowing (it was me). She quickly saw I was a very friendly kitty. I was already neutered, which meant at one time someone did love and care for me; but that had all changed. This nice lady continued to feed me until she had to go to be with her sick mother. When she returned I was gone; but was not far, as someone else started to put out scraps of food for me and the other kitties who lived in the garden. I lost a lot of weight, and this lovely lady took me home, realizing I did not know how to care for myself outside. Now, I am happy and healthy, but need to find a new home soon as my rescuer is allergic to cats and cannot keep me. I know my name and I come running when called; and I just love to be brushed and rubbed. I know how to use a scratching post and just love to play with my toys. I also love to be held. I am a lap cat and will sit on my mom’s lap and listen to her as she reads aloud to me. Sometimes we fall asleep together on the lounge chair. I was once loved by a family that I lost, but have another chance to be loved again. I hope that chance comes very soon. I am a “special needs” kitty. My special need does not require medication and should not affect my quality or length of life. For more information on my special need, please call Elaine at 610-327-3969. I am neutered, tested negative for FeLV, and am current on all required vaccinations.
